So many things

So many things are spinning around in my head and I don’t know where to start. I have seen two great movies over this past weekend, both of which have caused my mind to reel: “Crash” and “Kingdom of Heaven”. These movies are very different from each other, but both are great in their own right. Crash is beautiful in its story and story telling, and Kingdom of Heaven is filled with dialogue about Christ.

I have to go off about Crash for a bit because it is a beautifully moving film. Crash is about the colliding of different worlds and how people are made better or worse as a result. I wont say much ’cause I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, but if you haven’t seen it, go see it…now! The film opens with this line: “It’s the sense of touch. Any real city you walk, you know. You brush past people, people bump into you. In L.A., nobody touches you. We’re always behind this metal and glass. I think we miss that sense of touch so much, that we crash into each other just so we can feel something.”

So many things to share once I digest a bit more.

I like the line from the movie. You can appreciate the true beauty of people if you choose to be real and authentic. I’ll bet that is hard to come by in L.A. Sometimes it’s hard to come by no matter where you live.
