Joyous Season

Well, today is November 1st, and that means for me, today marks the beginning of Christmas season. I love Christmas, so I just can’t help but talk about it. There always seems to be a happiness and a joy that wells up inside of me every year right at the first sight of the green trees hung with silver balls and red ribbon inside of Bath & Body Works. Its not Bath & Body Works every year that sleighs me (did you get the pun?), but it so happened that B&BW was the first setting I saw this season that radiated the color and feel that launched me into a frenzy of euphoria. As I was walking downtown on State Street today, I saw the city workers beginning to put up the Christmas lights on all the trees. It looks amazing when you drive down State street at night, with all the trees on both sides of you lit up.

The smell and crispness of the air, the vibrant colors, the visible breath, the shopping, the giving, the people, make me like a 5 year old boy on Christmas eve, trying hard not to let his eyes droop in worry that he might miss something spectacular, while he eagerly anticipates the next morning. So, here I wait, eagerly anticipating this joyous season that is already upon us.

Sooo, Christmas Boy, can we order up some cooler weather to go along with the holiday cheer? It’s Nov 1 and I’m dying of heat here in SB.

The start of Christmas!! You are always the one that gets me excited for the season Ryan! Decorations are up here already, escpecially because Europe doesn´t celebrate Halloween so the next big holiday is Christmas. You would love it.
And I am glad you are posting again. I was wondering what the world was coming to!!!

Christmas is just the best and most exiting time of the year! My mother says I enjoy Christmas so much because I was almost born on the joyous day (26th). I am stoked to hear that Europe is already ready…Oh, and Billy, thanks for the new moniker.

Being that I was born on the same day as Christmas Boy, and that a few years earlier, I reserve the right to be more thrilled about Christmas and the season. At least i MOBLOGGED it first…

BTW birthday boy, did you know that the 26th is Canadian Boxing Day? Yeah–it’s kind of a big deal.

Yes Jared, I did know that it is Canadian Boxing Day…And uh…as much as you try to out-thrill me in the excitement of Christmas, you wont be able to do it. And just so you know, people know me…I’m kind of a big deal…when it comes to Christmas. It is true that you moblogged it first…I will give you that. I sadly took my defeat. When are you going to bust out your christmas tunes?
