Back…

I’m back after a long and pleasant hiatus from the blogosphere. Its nice to get away from computers for awhile and not have to worry or fuss with any technology. Vacation was great. We travelled to Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Belize, and finally Costa Maya. Taking a cruise is like a fast-food vacation…You dont get to see the entirety of a country or a people, only a small little snapshot of one part of one city. The problem with this is that the small part of the city that you get to see is usually not a good representation at all of what the country or the people are like since it is usually very turist-ee. Had a good conversation with Mario about this as we related it to short terms mission trips and their innefectiveness…But that is a whole other conversation. On Friday night Vox Veritas had our debut gig for family and friends and it went great. A lot of our friends and family showed up to hang with us, so we were very pleased. Thanks to everyone who helped us: from graphic designing, to printing, to deals on food, to making the food, to setting up, to tearing down, to mixing and so on. Without all of you, the show wouldnt have happened. We are so blessed to have such great friends who have shown their love for us in a huge way. We are looking forward to August 24th when we will be playing at SOHO in downtown Santa Barbara with a couple other bands: Dominic Balli and one other.
